I have delivered international, DFG-funded research under time pressure and practical working constraints by coordinating experiments, learning new techniques from collaborators, presenting results at conferences and contributing to peer-reviewed publications. A key part of my research experience has been leading and contributing to international, time-sensitive projects where scientific success required more than technical expertise. In the France–Germany DFG-funded DIPLOX project, I contributed from the German research side and helped deliver the project despite a limited working period and significant practical constraints on laboratory access.

The work required careful prioritisation: planning experiments, coordinating with collaborators, learning new techniques, adapting to restricted access and changing timelines, and keeping the scientific objectives moving forward. I contributed to completing the experimental targets, interpreting the results, presenting the work at international conferences and converting the project outcomes into peer-reviewed publications.

The project also created enough scientific momentum to attract additional DFG support, showing that the work was not only completed, but recognised as valuable and worth extending. For me, this experience represents practical scientific leadership: taking responsibility, building trust with collaborators, learning quickly, communicating clearly and delivering results under pressure.

In an industry context, this translates directly into project ownership, stakeholder coordination, technical problem-solving and the ability to deliver high-quality output within constraints.
